Beauty is in the eye of the beholder~

I have felt a certain level of guilt associated with the touched up photos of Lily. All should understand that I find the real photos of Lily absolutely beautiful. I had the photos touched up for my family and friends so that they would be able to have a photo that was "presentable" and I also keep these photos in my wallet for those that want to see her. I was looking at her real photos last night and I couldn't help but smile because I find her to be perfect and beautiful in every way. I can't help but feel like a proud mommy when I look at her tiny 10 fingers and toes, and I laugh as I question if any of genes had a part in her perfection because she looks just like my hubby. I am a proud mommy of a perfect child designed by God~ that was only given to me for a very short time.

I present again a real photo of my daughter~ who is eternally loved and missed by her entire family.

I know exactly what you mean! When I got Cameron's touch ups back, I was impressed, but at the same time thought, "That's not my little boy". I had his picture up for a short time, but had to take it down. It just wasn't him.

I would even find myself ignoring those photos and, instead, pulling out his original ones and just stare, touch, and kiss them. It was MUCH more comforting to me!

Our little ones were beautiful and perfect just the way they were the second they came into this world!

I didn't have to have my photo's touched up. BUT i am SO SO eager to show them off to people. If I had to have them touched up I would, not for me but to show people because he is BEAUTIFUL! I want to share my angel with everyone who will listen. Just because they passed away does not mean they don't exist! I find LILY BEAUTIFUL and you should be proud to show her picture just as it is. I know its hard for people to take but that is how she is. anyways, thank you for sharing I just love to look at her picture she is a beauty.......

She's beautiful, no matter who is looking at her or what picture.

She is so beautiful. We lost our daughter at 21 weeks and 3 days. We weren't given an opportunity to have any pictures retouched. The only ones we have were taken by a kind hearted nurse with a polaroid camera. I treasure those pictures. I want to share her picture with people but I hesitate because I don't want them to think she is anything other than perfect. I don't even know if that makes sense.

Hugs to you. Your daughter is beautiful just the way she is. We lost our daughter at 18 weeks due to my placenta abrupting. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches with you. Never be afraid to show off any pictures of your daughter. She is beautiful in my eyes as well!

I absolutely agree with you. I look at every dead baby with such awe. I even forget that those pictures may be difficult for some people to see. They are so precious and I feel proud as well.
